Move Plans – create a written plan to get the job done efficiently and to be used as a communication tool with the client.
Decluttering - sorting personal items to keep, donate or sell at consignment and what’s left…toss. We will also, as part of this service, take care of getting these items where they need to go.
Organizing - make everyday life more manageable after decluttering. This service can be divided by specific rooms or the entire house at the current location or the one to come.
Packing and Managing the Move - bring in our team of movers and manage the whole process from packing the 1st house to unpacking and organizing at the 2nd house.
Cleaning and Repair Oversight – All homes, even new ones, require repair. New home construction isn’t perfect and there is always something forgotten in the process. We oversee and manage the repair process by getting our Repair Team in the home immediately and manage the process start to finish.
Staging – get your current home ready to be listed on the market by decluttering and placing furniture in such a way as to show the true features of the property creating a feeling of spaciousness and possibilities for the potential buyer.
Real Estate – Should our clients require a real estate agent, my husband and I are Real Estate Agents and can provide a turn-key service. If you are working with another Agent, we will collaborate with that Agent to insure all aspects of the move are completed in a timely and efficient manner to include any of our services listed above.
We strive to remove the emotional and physical burden of the moving, relocation, and downsizing process by working with our clients on every aspect of the move. We create a plan tailored to our clients' needs.
Moving to retirement apartment
It's so hard to give up my things, things I have garthered over a lifetime, things that special people gave me, things with special memories. I live worring what will go wrong with my house, mostly the things that I really cannot afford to fix, but alas, both the house and this lady are ancient, so the need to downsize and relocate is imminent. Where to begin? What can I live without? It's almost too much for me to decide, but the time is here. I am starting and expect I will survive the experience. In reality I cannot care for my home the way I used to do, I live relatively far from the hub of things and it's lonely. I am moving to simplify my life and to a retirement community where that will be a reality, plus there are others there in the same predicament and best of all there is the opportunity for new friends and activities to keep me busy. In the meantime there is the task of deciding which of my treasures I have to give up for the rewards I hope to get from the move.

Home
I live in the prettiest place on earth. The south side of the street is wetland, the north side of my deep yard (which runs from grass and willows to a wild shoreline) is lake, and the west side is a wood. We're moving because my husband and I are aging and I've had several serious illnesses and the house is no longer safe. My husband has saved my life a few times in the last few years and has stood by me during prolonged illnesses. Physically we have nothing left to put into our house. Emotionally he has nothing left to put into this move. It's up to me to make all of the decisions. I have to do this. We're not safe anymore. I'll take care of everything. have to see him safe. I've known him 44 years. He is everything.

My Mom is in a Nursing Home
I am moving back to my roots, so to say. I was born and raised basically in this home that my mom has resided in for many years. Since she has moved onto a nursing home, someone needs to live there. The problem that arises is there is so much stuff in her home that we need to move it out before I can move in. There are so many momentos and reminders there that it is very hard to move in without thinking about all those things around me. I am having issues with getting rid of those things along with moving in my things in to call it my home. I am struggling with the move along with dragging my feet to move in.

Moving due to a growing family
We are moving from a 3rd floor 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 story, 3 bedroom townhome because our family is young and growing and we need the space! We have lived in this apartment for 2 years and have accumulated a lot of stuff between my husband and the two kids. I am feeling very overwhelmed with trying to pack it all up. I am happy and excited about our new, bigger home with a yard, but still feeling stressed and sad about the move. We made alot fo new memories in this apartment. My hubby and I moved here together for the first time, he proposed to me here, we lived here during our son's birth; I will certainly miss it, but the change is a good one. I am trying to take one room at a time to tackle everything and throwing alot of junk away!

Helping My Mother Move to an Apartment
We did it all wrong. On my 78-year-old mother's move-in date(!), my 3 brothers and I went back to our family home to "help" my mother pack her things and move them, all in 1 day. (We should have started a MONTH earlier, and visited one by one every day until moving day, to help her downsize. Or we could have hired an expert in downsizing seniors to do it for us!) We packed up ALMOST EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE and moved it to her apartment! As she's a packrat anyway, she has spent the last 8 YEARS trying to downsize her belongings, one item at a time. She still lives with numerous unpacked boxes, and stuff piled everywhere. And she constantly reminds us of how we SHOULD have helped her DOWNSIZE her belongings before she moved. I hope my story helps someone to help their elderly relatives solve their moving problems rather than creating new ones.

My Career
I move because of my career. It's taken me fromTurkeytoItalyand back home again. While I love to move (I've moved at least 12 times in the last 25 years), I'm tired of packing and unpacking boxes. Kind of like that theme song for that old TV show "WKRP inCincinnati". Yup, just like that.
